Sarah Palin's emergency trip to Omaha to try to save one of Nebraska's five electoral votes drew crowd of about 6,000 Sunday night.
In February, before he was even the nominee, Obama drew well over 12,000 to the same venue on a weekday. Crowds waited around the block for three hours in the cold that day.

Nebraska splits it's electoral college votes, so wouldn't it be ironic if Barack picks a few of them up and they put him over the top?

It would be nice to see him get a vote or two from up there. I love this how they try to portray this as she just wanted to go hang out in the Midwest. Sometimes I believe they think America is stupid. They are not wasting time in Nebraska at this point in the election unless they are worried about it. If she just wants to hang out in the Midwest fly on down here to Kansas I'm sure you'll get a lot of support from the pinheads living in my state. Of course you won't do that because you know your going to win here. I've got a group of 100 volunteers heading to Missouri next weekend and we are going to win that state for Obama.

Nebraska only began splitting electoral votes about 15 years ago, and it hasn't happened yet, but certainly looks like it could this time.
I'd just LOVE it if one EV from my district was the one to put Obama over the top. That would be so great! But I think Obama is going to win by quite a few more than that.

Update Note from OWH this morning:
-- Before Palin reached the main crowd at the packed 2,453-seat Music Hall inside the Civic, she addressed the overflow crowd in Mancuso Convention Hall. Capacity at Mancuso is listed as 2,500 on the venue's Web site. ---
I had thought she was appearing in the adjacent Civic Auditorium (where Obama filled every seat in February, more than 12,000 plus the Mancuso Hall and lines outside). She was only in the little Music Hall!
